BioPatch MC100®

Relay live and detailed vital data to their healthcare providers safely and instantaneously using a simple non-invasive wireless device...

SEERS’ Bio Patch is a non-invasive, body-worn wireless device that continuously measures a patient’s vital signs including ECG, heart rate, heart rate variability, activity, and respiration rate among others.

Similar to an ECG electrode, the Bio Patch® is worn on the left side of the chest. A temperature sensor and a Single Lead ECG technique (Lead II) measure a variety of parameters, including Inertial Measuring Units (IMUs), impedance, and the other variables described above. It has a heart rate range of 30-280 beats per minute.

The BioPatch captures vital signs, bioimpedance, and movements, which are then sent to the iCloud via a SEERS-developed mobile app. The R-R intervals, QRS complexes, heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, and activity level of a patient are calculated using a multi-sensing algorithm built in the app.

It is clear that we are moving towards a future where telemedicine and virtual healthcare will be an integral part of the healthcare system. This technology is geared towards making patient-physician relationships easier and more intuitive. All the data collected is relayed back to the involved physicians in order to facilitate an early and accurate diagnosis as well as a subsequent treatment plan.

Key Features of the BioPatch:

Some of the key features include:

  • Enhancing patients’ engagement due to the light, compact, and easy-to-wear design with a single lead, superior battery life lasting 5-7 days with continuous measurements (easy replacement of coin cell batteries that can last up to 30 days).
  • An easy deployment for ambulatory cardiac monitoring and real-time monitoring.
  • More accurate collection of ECG data by minimizing noise caused by motion artifacts, and higher ROI/lower costs than portable ECG monitors for hospitals and medical facilities.
