About device name
The company CEFALY, which takes its name from the French word for headache and the medical term cephalic, is dedicated to developing a non-pharmaceutical remedy for migraines.
The CEFALY DUAL Enhanced is a lightweight device designed to provide ease of use for the user. It has the same controls as the original CEFALY DUAL, with upgrades to enhance its functionality. The device features a simple on/off button on the front surface, activated with a single tap. It has two settings: the first is meant to be used during a migraine attack, and the alternative is for daily 20-minute use. The device comes with a convenient electrode storage bag and three reusable (adhesive) electrodes that can be used on the face.
The CEFALY DUAL Enhanced product has undergone numerous clinical trials since 2008 and is now proven to relieve and prevent migraine attacks. Its ACUTE setting effectively stops and relieves migraine attacks within 60 minutes. Meanwhile, its PREVENT setting effectively reduces the frequency and intensity of migraines; the provider recommends daily use. This device helps to alleviate associated pain and limitations resulting from migraines.
The device targets the trigeminal cranial nerve externally. It stimulates the nerve using electrical impulses sent through a reusable adhesive electrode forehead strip. The most recent device has a newly strengthened magnet that optimizes electrode connectivity and visual feedback. The device also features a more prominent button and an LED indicator light, which was added in response to customer feedback.
