In October 2019, the Office of the President of the Russian Federation released a national AI strategy, including AI goals to be achieved by 2024 and 2030. These goals include improving the availability and quality of data, increasing the availability of hardware, creating appropriate standards, and building a regulatory system that guarantees public safety and stimulates the development of AI technologies. Some of these principles include the protection of human rights and liberties, security, transparency, technological sovereignty, innovation cycle integrity, reasonable thrift, and support for the competition. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a speech to students in Moscow in 2017, “Artificial intelligence is the future not only of Russia but of all of humankind. There are huge opportunities but also threats that are difficult to foresee today. Whoever becomes the leader in this sphere will become the ruler of the world.”(1)

Cubic Robotics

Cubic Robotics introduced the first Artificial Intelligence assistant with a personality for mobile, home, and vehicles called “Cubic.” This device can talk, make jokes, navigate mobile apps, use consumer electronics, access home automation systems, and operate vehicle-based technologies with a voice command. In 2014, the brand agency SmartHeart along with the Cubic Robotics team, created a brand strategy and positioning strategy for Cubic. For nine months, SmartHeart partner Stanislav Okruh was leading the brand positioning of this innovative project in Russia.(2)

Stafory

Stafory (Robot Vera) helps to find personnel up to 10 times faster. The developed AI bot conducts phone and video interviews as a real human resource manager, sends emails with job descriptions and relevant information, and invites candidates to a face-to-face interview with a recruiter. This robot can work as both an outward and inward recruiter, take calls easily and answer candidates’ questions. It can also use a virtual robot for onboarding surveys, exit-interview, and other human resources needs. The robot is particularly useful during the vetting processes of companies offering jobs that have a high turnover.(3)

RoboCV

RoboCV creates robotic systems for a wide range of routine logistics tasks within warehouses, factories, and distribution centers. These create multiples solutions and are able to process a variety of input data, integration of stand-alone mobile robots, loading equipment, vehicles, personnel, sensors, and information into an intelligent optimizer of logistics tasks in the form of a superstructure over existing systems WMS (Warehouse Management Software), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), and e-commerce.(4)

3DiVi

Founded in 2011, 3DiVi Inc. is a software development company in computer vision, AI, and deep learning. Computer vision algorithms cover skeletal tracking (full-body, fingers), face recognition, spatial orientation, and object recognition.

A distinctive feature of algorithms is the support of both standard RGB (Red, Green, Blue) and depth sensors (RGBD), along with performance optimization for low-powered mobile and embedded applications. With customers like Intel, LG, Orbbec, and Orange, 3DiVi works to enable human-machine interface (HMI) to a wide range of edge devices and applications in Augmented reality, digital health, smart home, smart car, digital identity, and robotics.(5)

Baby Token

BabyToken is a mobile app for tracking pregnancy. It uses blockchain and AI technologies in telemedicine, employment, and financial services. It helps users track pregnancy, and fertility periods, among other functions. Users can track pregnancy week by week, calculate the current week of pregnancy, and the delivery date. It also provides information about the size of the baby and development updates every week. It helps to manage weight and belly growth gain goals with clinical guidelines for your BMI.(6)

Denti.AI

Denti.AI is a software company of AI analysis of dental x-rays to detect key conditions, past dental treatments, and other relevant features to find diseases earlier and improve dentists’ productivity.

Denti.AI’s radiograph analysis can help doctors catch more pathologies and patients better understand the need for treatment, increasing quality of care and case acceptance. In addition, Denti.AI centralizes clinical data into its analytics platform, raising variability across the network and emphasizing areas for clinical improvement.(7)

DOTKIN.AI

Botkin.AI is designed to improve the quality of analysis and recognition of diagnostic images using artificial intelligence. The platform provides a complete workflow cycle, ranging from integration with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and depersonification of images to providing radiologists with access to the results of image analysis.

The platform also provides work in the mode of “hybrid intelligence” (Human-AI-Loop), with the possibility of additional markup of images by radiologists. Botkin.AI uses Microsoft Azure for maximum performance, security, and availability for clients.(8)
